Sahih Int'l: O you who covers himself [with a garment],
Sahih Int'l: Arise and warn
Sahih Int'l: And your Lord glorify
Sahih Int'l: And your clothing purify
Sahih Int'l: And uncleanliness avoid
Sahih Int'l: And do not confer favor to acquire more
Sahih Int'l: But for your Lord be patient.
Sahih Int'l: And when the trumpet is blown,
Sahih Int'l: That Day will be a difficult day
Sahih Int'l: For the disbelievers – not easy.
Sahih Int'l: Leave Me with the one I created alone
Sahih Int'l: And to whom I granted extensive wealth
Sahih Int'l: And children present [with him]
Sahih Int'l: And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life].
Sahih Int'l: Then he desires that I should add more.
Sahih Int'l: No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses obstinate.
Sahih Int'l: I will cover him with arduous torment.
Sahih Int'l: Indeed, he thought and deliberated.
Sahih Int'l: So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated.
Sahih Int'l: Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated.
Sahih Int'l: Then he considered [again];
Sahih Int'l: Then he frowned and scowled;
Sahih Int'l: Then he turned back and was arrogant
Sahih Int'l: And said, "This is not but magic imitated [from others].
Sahih Int'l: This is not but the word of a human being."
Sahih Int'l: I will drive him into Saqar.
Sahih Int'l: And what can make you know what is Saqar?
Sahih Int'l: It lets nothing remain and leaves nothing [unburned],
Sahih Int'l: Blackening the skins.
Sahih Int'l: Over it are nineteen [angels].
Sahih Int'l: And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve – that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity.
Sahih Int'l: No! By the moon
Sahih Int'l: And [by] the night when it departs
Sahih Int'l: And [by] the morning when it brightens,
Sahih Int'l: Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions]
Sahih Int'l: As a warning to humanity –
Sahih Int'l: To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind.
Sahih Int'l: Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained
Sahih Int'l: Except the companions of the right,
Sahih Int'l: [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other
Sahih Int'l: About the criminals,
Sahih Int'l: [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?"
Sahih Int'l: They will say, "We were not of those who prayed,
Sahih Int'l: Nor did we used to feed the poor.
Sahih Int'l: And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it],
Sahih Int'l: And we used to deny the Day of Recompense
Sahih Int'l: Until there came to us the certainty."
Sahih Int'l: So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors.
Sahih Int'l: Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away
Sahih Int'l: As if they were alarmed donkeys
Sahih Int'l: Fleeing from a lion?
Sahih Int'l: Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about.
Sahih Int'l: No! But they do not fear the Hereafter.
Sahih Int'l: No! Indeed, the Qur’an is a reminder
Sahih Int'l: Then whoever wills will remember it.
Sahih Int'l: And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness.
