Sahih Int'l: By those [angels] who extract with violence
Sahih Int'l: And [by] those who remove with ease
Sahih Int'l: And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming
Sahih Int'l: And those who race each other in a race
Sahih Int'l: And those who arrange [each] matter,
Sahih Int'l: On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation],
Sahih Int'l: There will follow it the subsequent [one].
Sahih Int'l: Hearts, that Day, will tremble,
Sahih Int'l: Their eyes humbled.
Sahih Int'l: They are [presently] saying, "Will we indeed be returned to [our] former state [of life]?
Sahih Int'l: Even if we should be decayed bones?
Sahih Int'l: They say, "That, then, would be a losing return."
Sahih Int'l: Indeed, it will be but one shout,
Sahih Int'l: And suddenly they will be [alert] upon the earth's surface.
Sahih Int'l: Has there reached you the story of Moses? –
Sahih Int'l: When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Ţuwa,
Sahih Int'l: "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed.
Sahih Int'l: And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself
Sahih Int'l: And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'"
Sahih Int'l: And he showed him the greatest sign,
Sahih Int'l: But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed.
Sahih Int'l: Then he turned his back, striving.
Sahih Int'l: And he gathered [his people] and called out
Sahih Int'l: And said, "I am your most exalted lord."
Sahih Int'l: So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression].
Sahih Int'l: Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah].
Sahih Int'l: Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it.
Sahih Int'l: He raised its ceiling and proportioned it.
Sahih Int'l: And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness.
Sahih Int'l: And after that He spread the earth.
Sahih Int'l: He extracted from it its water and its pasture,
Sahih Int'l: And the mountains He set firmly
Sahih Int'l: As provision for you and your grazing livestock.
Sahih Int'l: But when there comes the greatest Overwhelming Calamity –
Sahih Int'l: The Day when man will remember that for which he strove,
Sahih Int'l: And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see –
Sahih Int'l: So as for he who transgressed
Sahih Int'l: And preferred the life of the world,
Sahih Int'l: Then indeed, Hellfire will be [his] refuge.
Sahih Int'l: But as for he who feared the position of his Lord and prevented the soul from [unlawful] inclination,
Sahih Int'l: Then indeed, Paradise will be [his] refuge.
Sahih Int'l: They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival?
Sahih Int'l: In what [position] are you that you should mention it?
Sahih Int'l: To your Lord is its finality.
Sahih Int'l: You are only a warner for those who fear it.
Sahih Int'l: It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof.
